While you may not think this is particularly special, combining analogue and digital displays, what is so interesting about this watch is that it doesn't just use a quartz movement to display an analogue time, it essentially uses two different movements which use a single quartz resonator. It really is a fascinating movement, and used only in this watch.

The digital displays on the left can be used for various timing features such as standard chronograph timing, split timing, lap timing etc, or to display the running seconds. The analog half is similar to other Omega quartz movements from the time; the minute hand is advanced by pushing the crown, while the hour hand can be adjusted in one hour increments by pulling and turning the crown.

This is all housed in a steel case measuring in at 51mm including the pushers and crown, with a height of around 47mm including the lugs and a thickness of around 12mm, and is mounted a 1300/212 bracelet.

This particular piece would date from circa-1976 and presents in excellent vintage condition. The case is very well preserved, with excellent finishes. Shows minor marks, and the small polished bezel has a few small dings. Has a few spots of very mild surface rust, but these can mostly be wiped away. The crystal is excellent, with only minor marks. Caseback shows some small scratches and rub marks.

The tritium analogue dial is in superb condition, as are the hands. The digital side is displaying as it should. There's some minor dust flecks present, and some light marks on the black dial surround.

The bracelet has enough links to fit roughly a 20cm wrist, and shows very little play between the links. Shows desk dive marks.

Has recently had a battery replacement, and also includes spare batteries as these are not a standard size.

Comes as watch-only (no box or papers), and includes a Watch Vault Travel Pod, Watch Vault cleaning cloth, and spare batteries.

Excellent example of a true piece of Omega's history, in superb condition.

Brand: Omega

Reference: 196.0052

Circa: 1976

Case Material: Stainless Steel

Case details: 51mm

Movement: Caliber 1611 Chrono-Quartz

Dial: Black/Digital

Paraphernalia: Watch Vault Travel Pod, Watch Vault cleaning cloth, and spare batteries

Grading: Excellent Vintage Condition

Watch Vault utilises the TZ grading system.
