Panerai Luminor Marina 44mm Brown Dial Titanium PAM00296 PAM296
Released in 2009, the seldom-seen PAM00296 is a Luminor, but one that is very different to what you'd usually expect to see.
Firstly, the 44mm case is made of titanium and is paired with a matching titanium bracelet. Within this matte-finished case lies a tobacco dial, with sub-seconds at 9, a date window with magnifier at 3, and plenty of lume. It's also not manually wound as you'd usually expect to see, but utilises the OPIII ETA 7750-based automatic movement. This combination of titanium case and bracelet, automatic movement and 300m of water resistance makes it possibly the ultimate summer daily-wearing Panerai and one you're very unlikely to encounter on anyone else's wrist. It's a very cool reference.
This particular example was sold in Italy in 2010 and presents in TZ 'Near Mint' condition. The case shows barely any hints of use with only the smallest of flea-bites present on a couple of the straight edges under very close inspection, and is in phenomenal condition for its age. The bracelet is currently sized for a 7.5in wrist, with an extra link included. It shows only the very lightest signs of use, just like the case.
Service history is unknown. It's currently keeping time at around -6 seconds a day at 300+ degrees of amplitude dial-up on a timegrapher, with all functions operating as they should.
