Launched in 2020 to celebrate Jack Heuer, great grandson of Edouard Heuer, and the man responsible for so many of the great watches associated with Heuer in the 60's and 70's. It was his vision that led to the undeniable motorsport connection Heuer has enjoyed for 60+ years. In the 1970's Jack began a tradition of gifting 18k Carrera's to Formula 1 Drivers as good luck charms, specially engraved with their names and blood type on the caseback, and so was only fitting to base his birthday celebration piece around a gold Carrera.

Based around the 42mm previous generation Carrera, the case is crafted in 18k Rose Gold, with the characteristic tapered and bevelled lugs, thin bezel and stunning combination of brushed and polished finishes the modern Carrera is known for. On the sides of the case you'll find classic pump pushers executed in gold, which look amazing. Within this case lies an opaline dial, with steeply raked rehaut, black subdials with sunburst gradient effect, applied 18k markers and a subtle 88 in the form of an infinity loop beneath the centre pinion.

It's powered by the in-house manufactured Heuer 02 automatic movement with 80 hours of power reserve and column wheel actuation for the chronograph, and a vertical clutch. It's finished off with a supple black calf leather strap with TAG 18k gold pin buckle.

This one-owner piece was purchased in 2021 and remains in new old stock condition, with no wear present other than some very slight handling marks on the bezel. The case and bezel show tarnish from being in storage, and shows the watch has not been used other than perhaps being tried on and for photos. Please see images for full condition details.

The OEM strap is as-new, and the buckle still has the price tag attached.
