The Master Control line has been a staple of the line-up for some years now, and is Jaeger LeCoultre doing what it has traditionally done best; beautiful, classic complicated dress watches made to an extremely high standard at very reasonable money. While we love the simple executions of the MC line, the complicated pieces stand out as some thing truly special. This particular version is known as the Master Control Triple Date, and features a triple calendar in the classic JLC layout.
It features a wonderfully proportioned 37mm steel case measuring just 10.8mm in thickness, housing a silver galvanised sunburst dial with Dauphine hands and red varnish-tipped pointer date hand, with polished dart indices and classical black-on-white printing for the day and month window. It is powered by the in-house Cal. 889 automatic movement.
Finishing it off is a beautiful factory JLC 'gator strap with JLC tang buckle in steel.
This particular piece would date from the 90's and presents in excellent neo-vintage condition, with the case showing light hairlines and swirlies, and no large marks present. Hands show some pitting, and the tritium within shows degradation. Dial edges show some patina. Please see images for full condition details.
The strap shows wear, but still very usable. Buckle shows minor desk dive marks.
Service history is unknown. All functions operating as they should, and is keeping time at around +7 seconds a day at high 200's amplitude, with all functions operating as they should.
Comes with outer box, inner case (shows wear), blank warranty papers, aftermarket leather strap with aftermarket deployant, and an old service certificate.
This model is now discontinued and replaced by a larger 40mm model, leaving this as a traditionalists choice for those that prefer the more classical proportions.
