What is an 'LWC' Omega? Lewis Watch Co is a service centre in Perth here in Oz, and was an official Omega service agent that began creating what were essentially new old stock recreation of some of Omega's most famous references. These were built entirely using Omega service parts, and were essentially brand new versions of the classics, not unlike what restomod companies, or indeed manufacturers with their continuation series, does today in the world of cars. Something with vintage character, but modern usability. The best of both worlds, if you will.
Perhaps the most well known and commonly seen WatchCo/LWC Omega build is the Seamaster 300, based around the 165.024. It uses a 42mm Seamaster 300 service case, with luminova service dial and hands, and an original 60's bezel with acrylic insert.
It's topped with a hesalite crystal, and powered by the Omega 552 automatic movement. It is currently mounted to an aftermarket leather strap with aftermarket buckle.
This particular piece was built in 2018 and presents in TZ 'Excellent' condition. The shows some scratches and scuffs, and a few very minor nicks and pin dents. Bezel shows some signs of wear, but considering it's a 60's original is fabulous. Please see images for full condition details.
No service history that we're aware of, but probably a little young for that still. Keeping time at around +19 secs a day at 275 degrees of amplitude measured dial-up on a timegrapher at time of writing, with all functions operating as they should.
Comes with LWC certificate, and an Omega service case.
