MB&F x Yinka Ilori M.A.D.1 S 'Grow Your Dreams'
From the mind of creative genius Max Busser of MB&F comes the M.A.D 1 S, a simply bananas watch that has allowed the brilliance of MB&F to reach more collectors hands. And given MB&F is one of our very favourite brands here at WV, we think that's something really special.
This version was released in 2025, and is a collaboration with famous artist Yinka Illori, taking inspiration from his signature bright color palette. It still utilises a 42mm case in steel and sapphire, and the same La Joux-Perret G101 that has been significantly reworked and is flipped upside down. This version is known as the 'Water', and features a light blue barrel, a blue rotor, and a dark and light blue rubber strap. The rotor itself is a work of art, with each titanium blade featuring a milled tree motif, and looks amazing spinning above the milled base plate. It's surrounded with a HyCeram bezel insert in green on both the tops and sides of the bezel, and finally the numbers on the time display are designed by Illori. Very cool.
It comes equipped on a mismatch dark and light blue rubber strap with steel deployant, and a spare white strap. Certainly a very unconventional watch, but that's what MB&F's are all about.
This particular piece has just been delivered, and remains new and unworn. Plastic removed for photos only. See images for full condition details, and please excuse any fingerprints or dust as we chose not to wipe it down given it's untouched. Buckle remains unfitted.
