Rolex Explorer II 216570 Black Dial

A modern update to the long enduring 16570, the Explorer II 226570 is quite a different piece aesthetically to its forebears. Now featuring a 42mm steel case with maxi dial, it's a proper tool watch with GMT capability for those that perhaps find the 40/41mm range a touch small for their tastes. The Explorer II also one of the more under-the-radar sports pieces, and always has been, which definitely has its own appeal for those wanting to enjoy their watch without the attention some of the other more recent models attract.

Featuring a 42mm Oystersteel case topped with a stunning sunburst 24-hour fixed bezel, it houses a maxi-dial with orange second timezone hand, and is powered by the calibre 3285.

This particular piece was first sold in 2021 and presents in TZ 'Excellent' condition. The case shows minor scratches and hairlines, with a some light hairlines on the bezel. Case back shows mild scratches. No significant dings/dents/nicks etc. Please see images for full condition details.

Bracelet and clasp shows some light desk dive marks, and all links are included.

Was just overhauled by RSC in Melbourne for a date change issue under warranty, and is running to factory specs. Remains under warranty with Rolex until November.
