Cartier Ballon Bleu De Cartier WSBB0049
The Ballon Bleu line from Cartier was released in 2007, and instantly became one of their most popular lines. The name Ballon Bleu means Blue Balloon, and it's derived from the beautiful blue cabochon on large rounded crown in conjunction with its round case, something fairly atypical for a brand known for their shaped watches.
The WSBB0049 is a 42mm version of the Ballon Bleu, and features a double convex case that is domed on both the front and back. It's cabochon-clad crown is protected with a crown guard, and this feature along with the accompanying bracelet show it's intent as a sportier, more daily friendly Cartier. Within this case lies a typically restrained and beautiful dial, with a guilloche centre, Romans on the outer track, discreet date at 9 and signature blued hands.
Powering it is the calibre 1847 MC automatic movement, and it is extremely versatile with it's quick release strap change system allowing you to swap between the Cartier Stainless bracelet and Cartier blue 'gator strap on Cartier deployant buckle in seconds.
This particular example was sold new in July-2022, and presents in TZ 'Near Mint' condition, with only very light hairlines and swirls present. See images for full condition details.
The bracelet shows only very minor marks, and all links are included. The strap is near-new.
