Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe 43 Steel 5000-1110-NABA

The Blancpain Bathyscaphe one of the most highly finished, robust and stunning dive watches on the market, of that there is no doubt. While some folks like to compare these to Subs, they're a different watch in our opinion. This is a luxury diver, with proper dive watch credentials should you wish to use them, but occupies a space that sits in a different niche with it's high finishing levels and beautiful movement.

Utilising a 43mm case in stainless steel which is just 13.45mm thick, with satin brushed lugs and flanks. Atop it sits a 120-click steel bezel with black ceramic inlay, surrounding a stunning sunburst grey dial topped with applied lumed hour markers, with a discreet date at 4. It's the perfect luxury diver. it strikes a wonderful balance between out and out tool watch, and something that could very much so be worn with a suit...or a dive suit, if testing the 300 metres of water resistance is your thing. 

Powering it is the spectacular calibre 1315 with monstrous 120 hour power reserve and a very high level of finish, and its mounted to Blancpain's awesome Nato strap with one of the finest brushed tang buckles on the market. 

This particular one-owner piece was purchased locally in 2017 and presents in TZ 'Good' condition. Has been worn regularly, and shows some small scratches and rub marks, as well as some minor nicks/dings on the edges of the case and on the very outer edge of the bezel which is the reason for the 'Good' rather than 'Very Good' grading according to the TZ scale. Strap is in good condition, and shows some minor staining where it's been passed through the tang buckle. The strap currently on it is from the titanium reference, and the original Nato is also included in the sale. Buckle shows quite a lot of desk dive marks.

Last had a service in 2020 where the movement was replaced under warranty. Keeping COSC time measured dial-up on a timegrapher, and all functions operating as they should.
