Breitling Chronomat B01 Ice Blue Stainless Steel & Platinum PB0134

The Chronomat from Breitling is usually characterised as a watch that combines tool-watch features with statement finishing, and is seeing somewhat of a resurgence of late both in it's original neo-vintage variants, and the new releases from Breitling which are clearly taking some inspiration from those early pieces, while updating them for the current audience.

This particular reference is perhaps our favourite of their modern releases, with it's stunning Ice Blue dial and platinum bezel combining with the amazing Rouleaux bracelet to create a thoroughly modern yet neo-vintage inspired piece. If you'd like to change the look, it also includes the lovely Breitling Rouleaux rubber strap in black.

Featuring a 42mm case made in steel with 200m of water resistance, and is topped with a platinum bezel which has a lustre you don't get with steel, while still being discreet. Within this case lies a magnificent sunburst ice blue dial with black sub-dials and tachymetre track adding contrast to the dial. A discreet date window is tucked in at 6 (the perfect position in our opinion), and it’s finished with applied luminous markers. Its powered by the COSC-certified Breitling Caliber 01 automatic chronograph movement seen behind the sapphire caseback.

As good as that dial is, the star of the show for us is the Rouleaux bracelet, which just drapes on the wrist and is mostly brushed compared to Breitlings regular highly-polished offerings. One of the nicest modern bracelets out there. This particular reference would have had the rubber strap, but the bracelet was added and it's the strap option to have.

This particular piece presents in TZ Excellent condition. The case shows some minor rub marks and small scratches, mainly around the lug areas. Lugs show some strap change marks. Bezel has some hairlines and swirls. Please see images for full condition details.

The bracelet shows only very minor desk diving marks, and all links are included.

All functions are operating as they should and it’s keeping COSC time.
