IWC Pilot's Watch Chronograph Ceramic 41 Top Gun IW389401

We've always had a massive soft spot for the Top Gun series, and has traditionally contained some of the coolest pieces in recent memory from IWC within its ranks. IWC were one of the pioneers of the use of ceramic in watchmaking, and the Top Gun line has become synonymous with this innovative material.

This version of the Top Gun was released in 2023, and in our opinion is perhaps the best wearing versions of the chronograph to date with it's reduced case size of 41.9mm, and a case height of 15.5mm, making for a great combination of the presence you'd expect from an IWC Chronograph, but also fantastically comfortable on the wrist. This is definitely the sweet spot of the Top Gun Chrono range over the last decade.

The case itself is manufactured in ceramic, while the pushers and crown are in untreated titanium which contrast beautifully against the flat black case. Within this case lies a wonderfully balanced dials, with the 30 minute counter at 12, running seconds at 6, and the 12 hour counter balanced by the day and date on it's opposite side. Classic white lumed railroad track minutes and markers create high-contrast legibility against the matte black dial, and it feels like pure IWC.

It's powered by the in-house 69380 automatic movement, which while based on 7750 architecture now features a column wheel and a 46h power reserve. It's water resistant to 100m, which can be tested using the supple IWC rubber strap, though an IWC leather strap is also included if you'd like to take the casual level down a touch and is a cinch to swap using IWC's EASX-CHANGE system.

This particular piece was originally sold in April 2024 and presents in TZ 'Near Mint' condition, with the only signs of wear being some very light rub marks on the tops of the lugs and case sides, and some extremely small hairlines on the case back. Please see images for full condition details.

All functions operating as they should, and remains under manufacturers warranty which can be extended to 2032.
