Kudoke K2

For those that don't know Kudoke, they're definitely an Independent worth having on your radar. The eponymous brand of Stefan Kudoke, Master Watchmaker and GPHG laureate, he was best known for his meticulous hand skeletonizing and engraving work, but in recent years has branched out to include some less intricate time-only pieces to the range, and thus allowing more people to experience the magic of this brand.

The piece we have here is the second amongst this HANDwerk (handmade) line, and is known simply as the K2. Featuring a 39mm case in steel, which stands at 10.7mm high. It is within this case that some proper magic lies. The base dial features a frosted white finish, with an outer rhodinized ring for the minute track. At 12 lies an intricate hand-engraved day/night indicator, electroplated in black & white rhodium aswell as yellow gold and looks absolutely spectacular in person. The hands are tempered blue steel, with the signature Kudoke infinity hour hand giving amazing legibility against the white of the dial.

Powering it is the in-house Kaliber 1-24H. Initially based on the fantastic A11 calibre from Habring, it is heavily modified and given a frosted wheel bridge which is hand-finished, and also features a hand-engraved balance cock with infinity symbol. Power reserve is 46 hours.

This particular piece was first delivered in 2022 and presents in TZ Good condition. Has been worn regularly, and shows scratches and light scuffs, as well as a few small dings on the side of the case, some minor nicks on the bezel and the lugs show some nicks and scratches from strap changes. The upper right lugs also shows some flattening on its corners, and the upper left lug also shows a small flattened section on it's inner corner. Please see images for full condition details.

Mounted to a Kudoke 'gator strap with tang buckle. Strap is near-new, with some desk diving marks on the buckle.

Comes with outer box, inner box, Kudoke booklet, timing slip, welcome note and Watch Vault cleaning cloth.

Phenomenal value for money amongst the Independent world, and a very special piece indeed. If you're contemplating a step into indies, this would be an excellent one to start with and see what all the fuss is about.
