Minase Divido 2.0 Ice Blue Steel 

An extremely interesting watch from Japan, the Minase Divido is as complex as it looks, with a case construction unlike any other. Utilising a case-in-case construction, the movement itself is housed in its own casing, with the dial then mounted between this case, and the index ring. This is what gives Minase their signature 'floating dial' aesthetic, and in combination with the sloping indexes which extend past the dial, creates a sense of depth that really is quite something to behold.

This particular version is the updated 2.0, and builds on the success of the 1.0 with the use of a thinner case, thanks to a new movement in the form of the automatic Calibre KT7002, which is based on the ETA 2892/A2. But it is not just an off the shelf movement, as Minase performs quite a few modifications including hand finished perlage, diamond-polished bevels on the bridges, skeletonized rotor, blued screws, and bridges and mainplate in black. It is also mounted on MPS lubrication-free bearings instead of the traditional 2892 bearings. 

The case is made in steel, and measures in at 40.6mm in diameter and just 11mm thick, with a combination of brushed, PVD and polished surfaces creating a case that is distinctly their own. The dial is executed in an ice blue over their hammered copper base, creating an amazing effect as it catches the light. Finishing it off is their amazingly supple bracelet with screwed links.

This particular example was first delivered in December 2024 and presents in TZ 'Excellent' condition. Has been worn regularly, and the case shows small scratches and swirls, though no notable dings/dents/nicks etc. Please see images for full condition details.

The bracelet shows desk diving marks on the end links, the polished surfaces, and some on the clasp. Includes all links.

Keeping time at around +15 seconds a day timed dial-up on a timegrapher, and remains under manufacturers warranty until December 2026.
