Norqain Independence Wild One 42mm Limited Edition NNQ3000QUG1LA/G001

Norqain is a really interesting brand, and definitely one to watch out for. It's an independently owned company helmed by Ben Küffer, who spent 11 years at Breitling, and his father Marc, who has been in the watch industry for 45 years, and also includes one Jean-Claude Biver as an advisor to the board. When you see that last name, you'll then begin to understand the direction Norqain is taking, using cutting edge material to create some very cool watches indeed.

Featuring a 42mm case made up of 25 components, and executed in Norqain's proprietary material known as NORTEQ, a super-light carbon composite material allowing the watch to weigh in at just 84g. It can also be coloured, and in this instance is a very cool shade of burgundy, and then has rubber 'bumpers' on either side to help protect it. Total dimensions are 42mm x 12.3mm x 49.4mm, making it a very wearable size especially combined with its light weight. It houses a laser-cut grey dial with mandala-like pattern, which is then topped with rose gold plated applied markers and hands. 

Powering it is the automatic Manufacture Calibre NN20/1 by Kenissi, which features a 70 hour power reserve and COSC certification, and it is mounted to a matching grey rubber strap on Norteq tang clasp allowing you to test our the 200m of water resistance.

This particular piece was first purchased in July 2023 and presents in TZ 'Good' condition. The case is largely free of marks, with only very minor rub marks and a few small scratches present. The reason for the 'Good' rather than 'Excellent' grading is the presence of an extremely small ding near the tip of the upper right lug. It's only visible under very close inspection. The strap is in fantastic condition, and the buckle shows some desk dive marks.

Currently keeping time at around +7 seconds a day at high 200's amplitude, and remains under the balance of Norqain warranty until 2027.
