Omega Seamaster Chronograph Calibre 321 145.006
Everyone is aware of the legendary Cal. 321 powered Speedmasters, which seem to get all of the limelight, but did you know this legendary movement was also fitted to the Seamaster? It's definitely a watch worth reading about.
Debuting in the mid-1960's, the 145.006 utilises a distinctive C-shaped 38mm case in steel, within which lies a matte black dial with a white outer tachymeter scale. The radial sub-dial numerals sit within sloped sunken registers and executed in white, matching the minute scale and hands. Well, most of the hands. The chrono seconds hand is deep orange, a-la the Ultraman, and a very cool touch.
As above, it is powered by the legendary Omega 321, a movement which only lasted around 11 years in production due to high production costs, before being brought back by Omega just recently. It's stunning, robust, and iconic.
The case presents in excellent vintage condition. Lines are sharp, and bevels crisp. Shows marks commensurate with its age. Case back is stamped as 1966, so correct for a movement number in 1967.
The tritium dial is in lovely condition, with an even patina across it. Markers are in excellent condition. Hands are tritium, in very good condition and appear original. Minute hand missing some of its tritium.
Service history is not known, but from a marking in the case back it looks like it may have been serviced in 2022.
No box or papers. Comes with Watch Vault cleaning cloth and Watch Vault Travel Pod.
Highly desirable and rare in to find in condition such as this.
