Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda GT Chronograph Annual Calendar PFC906-0000140-B00182
Parmigiani Fleurier historically have not been particularly well known among casual watch enthusiasts, but only to hard-core collectors who have long admired them for their stunning movements and amazing manufacturing breadth, supplying parts to many watch companies and being one of the few companies with the ability to create their pieces totally in-house. However Parmigiani have seen interest in their brand grow exponentially over the past couple of years, and its well deserved.
Long sitting in the shadows, they have struck commercial gold with their ever-evolving Tonda line and this particular reference is a favourite of ours. Released in 2021, it features a 42mm brushed and polished case in steel with stunning tear-drop lugs spanning a very manageable 50.8mm when including the rigid endlinks. It connects to a beautiful brushed and polished bracelet that tapers down into a double trigger release hidden clasp. The way it drapes across the wrist is ultra comfortable and looks fantastic.
Within this case lies a lovely multi-layered Panda dial, with a raised minute and hour track housing applied indices, with a modified clous de paris centre section, with inset black lacquered sub-dials displaying Chrono hours, minutes and running seconds, along with a very discreet month indicator at 9. There is an oversized double-date window below 12, making for a dial of perfect balance.
Powering this suite of complications is the calibre PF043, of course made in-house. It features hacking seconds, twin barrels, free sprung balance and a vertical clutch. Finishing is lovely, and automatic winding makes it a fuss-free Annual Calendar. Combined with its 100m of water resistance, what more could you ask for for a daily integrated sports piece?
This particular piece was first sold in December 2022 and presents in TZ Near Mint condition. Has been worn sparingly, and the case shows almost no signs of wear other than the lightest of swirlies and hairlines. Please see images for full condition details.
Bracelet contains all links, and shows only minor desk dive marks.
No service history, far too new for that. Keeps COSC time, and remains under manufacturers warranty until 2025.
Comes with outer box, inner box, warranty card dated December 2022, cleaning cloth, user guide, card holder and spare links to complete the bracelet.
