Rolex Submariner 5513 L Serial  

When pressed for an answer on what would be their one-watch collection, it’s not a stretch to think that most watch collectors who’ve been around for long enough would struggle to go past a Rolex Submariner 5513 or 1680, and for very good reason. They are perhaps the most iconic watch design of all time, and in the case of these late model 5513's posses a combination of vintage charm and modern usability that's hard to go past.

This particular example is an L serial from circa-1989, and presents in excellent vintage condition. Case is thick and sharp, with even lugs and excellent finishes throughout. Clear numbers between the lugs.

Bezel appears original, with tritium pip in place. Shows minor scratching, and a light, uniform fade throughout. Domed plexi is in excellent condition, with minor scratches.

Dial is tritium, with uniform speckling across its surface. Hands are tritium, with some cracking present. Show some marks from service.

Bracelet is a genuine Rolex 93150 service bracelet, purchased at RSC in Melbourne in 2019 at a cost of almost $2,300 AUD. As such, it is in phenomenal condition, being extremely tight with only minor marks present.

Specific service history is unknown. Currently keeping time COSC time at 300+ degrees of amplitude, with all functions operating as they should.

Comes with outer box, inner box, RSC receipt for the bracelet showing the serial number, and spare link to complete the bracelet.

A stunning example of perhaps the most usable vintage Rolex reference.
