Tudor Submariner 7016/0 Snowflake No Date
Perhaps one of the finest Tudor Subs of them all, the 7016/0 combines everything we love about vintage Tudors into one package. The 39mm Oyster case houses a meters-first matte black dial with tritium markers, no date, and the iconic snowflake hands, topped with an aluminium bezel and tritium pip, all aged to perfection.
This particular example dates to around 1970 and presents in excellent vintage condition. The MK2 case has been refinished in the past, believed to be by Tudor. The case remains thick with even lugs and pronounced bevels, and shows marks commensurate with its age. Numbers between the lugs are clear. Serial number is 742XXX.
The T Swiss T dial is in near-perfect condition. Tritium plots show a gorgeous and even patina, with only minor degradation present. No longer glows under UV. Hands are are very similar in colour, with some cracking present though still intact.
Service bezel insert shows only light wear, and contains a tritium pip. Domed plexi shows some scratching.
Crown is a trip-lock Rolex, and case back shows IV.68 stamping within, so in the correct range for this 1970 piece.
Bracelet is a 9315 folded link with 8 links, and will fit roughly a 7.1 in wrist. Also includes a lovely ColaReb Matera handmade Italian strap in grey.
Was serviced Tudor in 2017, and is currently keeping COSC time at mid 200's amplitude.
No box or papers. Comes with Tudor service card, Tudor service centre letter, Tudor bracelet case, Colareb strap, Watch vault Travel Pod and Watch Vault cleaning cloth.
This is an lovely example of the highly desirable and collectible Snowflake.
