Zenith Defy Skyline Skeleton 'Night Surfer' Time+Tide 97.9300.3620/79.I001

Zenith has been knocking it out of the park for the past decade or so now, and the Defy line embodies what we love about them so much. This particular piece is known as the Classic Skeleton, and is a perfect combination of avante garde styling while maintaining daily useability. It truly feels like something different within a sector of integrated sports pieces that can be all a little too 'samesy' at times.

The variation we have here is a little more special that the regular production piece, being a limited edition of 100 pieces released in conjunction with Time + Tide here in Australia. Known as the "Night Surfer 2" amongst collectors, it utilises a 41mm dark grey microblasted titanium case and bracelet, a first for the Skyline series. It's a very compact 46.3mm lug-to-lug and just 11.6mm thick, and combined with the lightness of the case it's a joy to wear. 

Within which is housed a magnificent open-worked dial with a vertical-gradient blue dial that absolutely pops against the deep grey case, and gives you an amazing view to the bridges, jewels and silicone escape wheel peeking out. And when the sun falls, the Zenith star motif of the dial is lined with lume, so it's just as cool at night as it is during the day. 

It’s powered by the in-house El Primero 3620 SK movement with one of the coolest rotors in the biz to go along with it’s silicone escape wheel. Proper watchmaking chops in a very comfortable, capable and great looking package.

This particular piece was originally purchased in December 2023 and presents in TZ 'Mint' condition, with no signs of wear that we can see. See images for full condition details.

Bracelet shows no marks to the naked eye, and the rubber strap is near-new.
